Issue Description
If you encounter the following error message when attempting to open the Skyline VPN client on Windows:
🔹"The procedure entry point GetHostNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll."
🔹This issue is typically caused by an outdated Windows version missing essential system components, preventing Skyline from functioning properly.
Possible Causes
1️⃣ Outdated Windows Version
Skyline supports Windows 10 (latest versions) and Windows 11.Windows 7 and older versions of Windows 10 are not supported.
2️⃣ Missing Critical System Components
Skyline relies on modern Windows networking components (WS2_32.dll API).If your system is a lightweight, modified, or unofficial version of Windows, some essential components may be missing, leading to compatibility issues.
Solution
✅ Install a Full Version of Windows 10 or Windows 11(recommended: Long-Term Support (LTS) version).
It is recommended to download the official Windows 10/11 image from the Microsoft website and perform a clean installation.
Avoid using lightweight, modified, or unofficial Windows versions, as they may lack the necessary system components required for Skyline.
✅ Update Windows to the Latest Version

✅ Reinstall Skyline VPN
