🌐 Windows Client DNS Resolution Issue? Here’s the Solution!
If you encounter DNS resolution failure while using the Skyline VPN Windows client, it may be caused by the following reasons:
📶 Poor local network quality, leading to unstable connections.
🚫 Local network restrictions, blocking the DNS resolution of Skyline’s service interface.
✅ Solutions
1️⃣ Try Reconnecting Multiple Times
Due to network fluctuations, you can attempt to log in multiple times or switch to different server nodes to establish a stable connection.
2️⃣ Change DNS Servers to Improve Resolution Success Rate
Manually update the DNS settings on your Windows device:
-Recommended DNS Addresses:
119.29.29.29 (Tencent Public DNS)
223.5.5.5 (Alibaba Public DNS)
Steps to Change DNS Settings:
1.Open Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center
2.Click Change Adapter Settings
3.Right-click on your active network connection and select Properties
4.Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties
5.Choose Use the following DNS server addresses, enter the recommended DNS values, and click OK
3️⃣ Switch to Another Network Provider
If your ISP (Internet Service Provider) has restricted certain DNS resolution services, try connecting via mobile hotspot or an alternative Wi-Fi network to check if the issue persists.
4️⃣ Restart Your Modem and Router
Power off your modem and router for at least 10 seconds, then restart them to refresh your network environment.
